Independent comparison for prospective users. NoVo is not affiliated with the tools named. Features and pricing change often — this page deliberately avoids quoting specific prices, because they go stale. Check each provider’s own site for current numbers.
Both are serious options-analytics products. They disagree about how much work the trader should do.
ConvexValue: depth you configure
A professional-grade dashboard with granular exposure and flow views in one interface. The trade-off for that granularity is a steeper learning curve — it hands you the surface and expects you to build the view.
SpotGamma: curation and a documented method
Takes the same class of data and does more of the interpretation for you: named levels, research notes, a published methodology. Faster to act on, less configurable.
One assumes you want the raw surface. The other assumes you want the conclusion. Neither is wrong — but buying the mismatch is how a subscription goes unopened.
Choosing honestly
Do you enjoy building your own views, and does that process produce your edge? Take the depth. Do you want a read you can act on inside a minute? Take the curation. Be honest about which trader you actually are, not which you would like to be.
The third option
Both stop at analysis. If your bottleneck is the gap between reading structure and being positioned, the relevant category is not a better dashboard — it is a cockpit where the read and the execution live together and one click places the trade you chose. In NoVo’s case that cockpit also carries the order-flow side in-house — the Analyst dashboard reads the live tape and surfaces in-house sweeps and block reads per ticker — so the dealer map and the flow footprint come from one subscription rather than two.
Where NoVo is the wrong answer
NoVo covers 0DTE/1DTE on SPY, QQQ and IWM and nothing else. If you need multi-ticker research, equities screening, futures gamma or macro commentary, a dedicated analytics platform is simply the better purchase. NoVo also never enters a trade on its own — you click every entry. And it does not reduce market risk: options carry substantial risk of loss, which is why paper mode exists.
