This Privacy Policy explains how NoVo Options Trading ("NoVo," "we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website, member portal, dashboard, email newsletters, Discord community, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.

1. Information We Collect

Account & contact information. Your email address, and any name or details you provide when you subscribe, create an account, or contact support.
Billing information. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number — Stripe handles payment data directly. We retain limited billing records (such as subscription status, plan, and customer/subscription identifiers) needed to operate your account.
Brokerage API keys. If you use NoVo Trader, you provide API keys you generate for your own brokerage accounts (such as Alpaca and Tradier). These are used solely to operate your private trading instance on your behalf. NoVo is non-custodial — your funds remain in your own broker account at all times, and your keys cannot be used to withdraw or move money. You may disconnect or rotate your keys at any time.
Discord information. If you link your Discord account to access member channels, we receive your Discord user ID (via Discord OAuth) and store it with your customer record so we can grant or remove your member role automatically.
Trading & configuration data. Data generated by your instance (settings, risk parameters, trade logs) is primarily stored within your own instance and broker account.
Technical data. Standard log and device data such as IP address, browser type, and usage events, collected to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide, operate, and maintain the Service and your account or instance.
To process subscriptions, billing, and renewals through our payment provider.
To send you the emails and market reads you signed up for, service notices, and support responses.
To grant, manage, and revoke access to member channels (including Discord roles) based on your subscription status.
To secure the Service, prevent abuse, debug, and comply with legal obligations.

3. How Your Information Is Shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers needed to run NoVo, each acting on our behalf:

Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
Resend — delivery of newsletters, welcome emails, and the market reads.
Discord — the members community and read channels (if you choose to link your account).
AI & market-data providers — to power analysis and market data used by the Service.
Hosting & infrastructure providers — to host the website, portal, and instances.
Legal & safety — where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of NoVo, our users, or others.

4. Email & Communications

If you subscribe to NoVo Market Notes or the NoVo Analyst reads, we use your email to send those communications. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. We may still send you essential transactional messages (such as billing or account notices) while your account is active.

5. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account or subscription is active, and thereafter only as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you cancel, your instance is deactivated and you may disconnect your broker keys; residual records may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards — including encryption in transit and access controls — to protect your information, and sensitive credentials such as broker API keys are handled with particular care. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your own account credentials and broker keys confidential.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email us at [email protected]. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time, disconnect your Discord or broker connections, and cancel your subscription from your billing portal.

8. Cookies & Tracking

Our website and portal use essential cookies and similar technologies needed to operate the Service (such as maintaining your session and secure sign-in). We keep non-essential tracking to a minimum. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may affect functionality.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International Users

NoVo is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date, and your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
