Independent comparison for prospective users. NoVo is not affiliated with the tools named. Features and pricing change — verify current specifics on each provider’s own site.

Everyone compares feature lists. Almost nobody asks the questions below — which is why so many trading subscriptions go unopened by month three. Run any tool, including this one, through these.

1. Does it fix your actual bottleneck?

Mark your last twenty losing trades as “wrong read” or “right read, bad execution.” Buy analytics for the first, execution for the second. Buying the wrong category is the most common expensive mistake in this space.

2. Where does your money live?

If a tool takes custody of funds, that is a fundamentally different risk than one that connects to your broker via API. Ask whether it can withdraw or only trade. See non-custodial explained.

3. Can you test it without real money?

Any tool confident in itself will let you watch it in paper first. If the only way to evaluate it is to fund it, that tells you something.

4. Does it show its reasoning?

A tool that says “buy” without showing why is a signal service with extra steps. You should be able to see the structure it is acting on and disagree with it.

5. Who decides — you or it?

Be clear whether it enters trades on its own or acts on your click, and make sure the marketing and the terms of service agree. Vagueness here is a red flag, not a feature.

6. What happens when it breaks?

Ask what protects an open position if the tool goes down. If the answer is “nothing until it reconnects,” that is real risk. A broker-side stop survives the tool being offline; a software stop does not. (NoVo's own stop is broker-side on Tradier and software-enforced on Alpaca, which has no broker stops for options — weigh that if you plan to trade hands-off.)

7. Does it replace a subscription, or add one?

Consolidation is worth real money. A tool that lets you cancel two others is cheaper than its sticker price; one that becomes a fifth tab is more expensive than its sticker price.

The best question is not “what does it do?” but “which of my current problems does it delete, and which subscription does it let me cancel?”

Where NoVo is the wrong answer

NoVo covers 0DTE/1DTE on SPY, QQQ and IWM and nothing else. If you need multi-ticker screening, equities research, futures gamma or macro data, a dedicated platform is the better purchase. NoVo never enters a trade on its own — you click every entry — and it does not reduce market risk. Options carry substantial risk of loss, which is why paper mode exists.
